As a child I lived in different parts of Africa and I went to school in Uganda then Kenya.  I visited again in 2010 which led to my support of Uzima now. I live in the West of the Isle of Wight and have 5 sons...I'm sure God knew what he was doing!  I work at West Wight Sports and Community Centre and also as a dinghy-sailing instructor at Yarmouth Sailing Club. I am a Christian and attend True Vine Church in Newport.

Viv Collins - Secretary

I moved to the Island - love it here! - in 1990 where I became deputy head, then head, of a small rural primary school. Since retiring I've had time to pursue other interests, including visiting Uzima to meet the child I sponsor there. This led to increased involvement with the educational side of things, and I've been glad to be able to offer support to the teachers, particularly with the teaching of those children who have extra needs.

I am mum to four boys and have run Pottery, Cafe and Coffee businesses with my husband for 20 years after living and working in London. I live with my family on the west side of the Isle of Wight and in 2018 I had the privilege of visiting Uzima with one of my sons. I hope to use my business skills for the charity.
