As a child I lived in different parts of Africa and I went to school in Kenya.
I visited again in 2010 which led to my support of Uzima now.
I live in the West of the Isle of Wight with 3 of my 5 sons, the eldest one lives nearby and the next one down is studying for a degree in Commercial music. Their ages range from 29 to 14 years old.
I work at West Wight Sports Centre and also as a dinghy-sailing instructor at Yarmouth Sailing club. I hate gardening, shopping and housework but love reading, camping and sailing. I am a Christian and attend the True Vine Church in Newport.
I'm originally from Devon, but have lived on the Island (and loved it!) since 2002. I now live in Cowes with my husband and teenage son, and work as a freelance interpreter and translator. I attend the same church as Joy, which is where I heard about the work of Uzima.
Louise is mum to four boys, from 8 to 18, and has run Pottery, Cafe and Coffee businesses with her husband for 20 years after living and working in London. She lives with her family on the west side of the Isle of Wight. Louise & one of her sons visited Uzima in 2018 and hopes to use her business skills for the charity.
