UK Trustees

Dave and Max are married and now Max has just come onboard in June 2017 as a temporary trustee.

They have a 25yr old daughter.

Dave joined Uzima as a Trustee in 2013 after being invited by Joy and takes care of finance and website design. He works in finance and marketing for the family engineering business and has done so for some 25 years.

He counts it a complete privilage to be involved with Uzima, and after having worked with children for some 25 years through church has a heart to see them be fulfilled and go forward in life.

‘Max has always been an amazing support to me and has been behind and been the inspiration for the Uzima website and logo’ says Dave and so its great to have her officially onboard, even if short term.

As a child I lived in different parts of Africa and I went to school in Kenya.

I visited again in 2010 which led to my support of Uzima now.

I live in the West of the Isle of Wight with 3 of my 5 sons, the eldest one lives nearby and the next one down is studying for a degree in Commercial music. Their ages range from 27 to 12 years old.

I work at West Wight Sports Centre and as a dinghy-sailing instructor at Yarmouth Sailing club. I hate gardening, shopping and housework but love reading, camping and sailing. I am a Christian and attend Victorious Life Church in Newport.
